The addition of an Olympic-size pool to the Fitness Center Complex required close coordination with Garrison Command. Warner Construction worked within a tight, pre-determined and inflexible budget to accommodate last minute design changes while adhering to the original completion date. Cost saving solutions were implemented and design elements were integrated for future upgrades. Exterior windows were redesigned and installed in the pre-engineered metal building to match the adjacent building’s features. Interior entrance doors were cut into the existing building’s locker rooms to allow access from within the Fitness Center. The heated 25-meter pool features a diving board, an offset stair entry and wide lane widths to accomodate military training, as well as recreational and competitive swimming and diving.
